New Delhi is one of the historical cities of the world and three of its monuments have been declared “World Heritage Sites”. The monuments declared as “World Heritage Sites” are Qutub Minar, Red Fort and the Humayun's Tomb.
Qutuab Minar	Qutub Minar is 5 km away from Inn at Delhi Did you know – Qutub Minar is the tallest brick minaret in the world. The diameter of the base is 14.3 meters wide while the top floor measures 2.75 mts The Qutub Minar is 72.5 meters high (237.8 ft) with 399 steps leading to the top.

The building work started in 1193 and was completed in 1368.

Qutb-ud-din Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, commenced construction of the Qutub Minar in 1193, but could only complete its basement.

It is only 5 storey’s high.

The minaret is made of red sandstone covered with intricate carvings and verses from the Qur'an.

The names of the soldiers who died in these wars are inscribed on the walls.
